Curriculum

The preschool years are a time of rapid physical, intellectual, and social development. Westminster’s program offers creative hands-on learning, self-esteem enhancement, peer socialization in large and small groups, and a commitment to each child’s growth and education.
The school’s curriculum includes:
  • Music – A group activity once each week and daily activity in the classroom
  • Art – Daily activities in the classroom to stimulate creativity
  • Recess – Outdoor free-play offered daily
  • Funnastics – An organized group recreational program provided weekly (gym class)
  • Enrichment – Reinforces classroom activities and enhances individualized attention and incorporates the use of Smart Board technology
  • Planned Field Trips - Throughout the year, both external and in-house
  • Christian Nurture -Weekly chapel services along with programs and experiences designed to enhance spiritual growth
  • Science and Nature Activities – Designed to introduce the children to the world around them
  • Spanish – Introduction to basic vocabulary
